It is among us. It is within us.

It creeps into the thoughts, desires, ambitions and takes root in every corner of human relations.

It is ambiguous, subtle, poignant, always lurking.

Nobody is able to prevent it.

Extremely difficult to ignore or suppress it.

Envy, ending in its most atavistic, primordial friction arises between an advantage and a disadvantage.

Envy “positive” engine of natural competition contrasts with Envy “negative,” which Cervantes in “Don Chisciotte” associated with the “worm rodent”, envy that clouds the mind, and sometimes leads to inflict damage and pain to the object of ‘envy.

Installation, faces observant and artistic features such as Dore’s illustration for The thirteenth canto of the Purgatorio

Dante Alighieri where expiate the souls of the envious,

(With eyes and mouth sewn), a reference to Medusa,

symbol of the look “evil”, the representation

of ‘envy of Giotto in the Scrovegni Chapel, a painting titled “Hiena de Salpêtrièe” by Théodore Géricault and ceiling with Bosch Table on capital vices where envy is represented by the gaze “oblique” about a woman who is hiding.

**ALOISIO CONGREJO Biography**

I was born in Second Life on february 25 2007My passion for art has been part of my virtual life from the start, and in RL began many years ago.As an artistic ‘consumer’ there have been many artists both great and lesser known that I have folled and admired, but what is most important to me is to see the work of anyone who can craft various media in such a way as to express their feelings.In Second life I began using art to express feelings and thoughts simply as a way of playing, trying out theings that were new to me, but with simplicity and entirely for my own enjoyment.i do not think of myself as an ‘artist’ and certainly don’t consider myself an ‘inventor’ of anything groundbreaking, I create art simply for the the pleasure of creating, and if what I make brings pleasure to others, I am flattered, because I see art as a language that allows the creator and the observer to communicate, in an exchange of emotions.

My creations are a search of movement and color, in some there are used scripts of motion or otherwise, and in others the sense of motion is given by the transparency that integrate with the overlap of shapes and colors.

Wolfie Moonshadow has been singing since the tender age of 8 years old. He is a qualified singer through the Royal Schools of Music in London. Some of his many accomplishments include awards for Gibraltar Young Musician Of The Year – Vocalist Category, Professional Entertainer of the Year in Costa Del Sol, Spain and MEL Best Band of the Year and and MEL Best Frontman of the Year – Midlands England 2003/2004.Wolfie has performed with several bands spanning over more than 20 years and three countries (Gibraltar, Spain and the UK). Also, Wolfie has appeared on several television programs in Gibraltar in addition to performing for Gibraltar National Day concerts. Since June of 2010, Wolfie has built a following becoming one of SL’s most popular performers. He performs songs from several genres making his shows varied and adaptable for each venue he plays. Maloe Vansant and Burk Bode Interview

The Exhibitions about The Seven Deadly Sins , hosted by Pyramid Café art ‘s Galleries continue.

Every month a sin!

Sunday January, 19th Maloe and Burk have carried out the photo exhibition called “Gluttony “.

I asked them some questions, so the artists replied…

LaMorgh : Sinning Gluttony: what is it for you?

Burk : The most common sin nowadays. We lost the meter, instinct and common sense for being humble in our needs. We are gluttons in the use of natural resurces to achieve what we think are our daily needs.

Maloe : Heaps of chocolate , can’t stand this , I am a chocaddict.

LaMorgh : Take pictures on this topic did you intrigue? This is the first time did you experimente something like this?

Burk : Yes, the topic is always intriguing. No, the seven deadly sins are a topic that crossed my way in SL fairly often. It was topic of several competitions I took part in and some of the sins where part of the weekly Masterminds Challenge I join when I have time.

Maloe : No, I made already some pictures of the 7 sins and one of them was gluttony, those intrigues me.

LaMorgh : Gluttony sin: Does it always refer to the sexual scope?

Burk : Of course not, when you look at the pictures we made you see gluttons of all kinds. The sexual aspect of it is only the best to visualize aspect of gluttony

Maloe : Not always, food too, shoes and handbags probably too. Lust for live I call it.

LaMorgh : In some pictures we see a pig. Why did you choose this animal associating it to sin Gluttony?

Burk : Because I found it in my inventory. Ok, there is more…. Pigs are gluttons in a wonderful natural way. They don’t feel guilt or shame for being immoderate and self-indulgent. So if you wanna show gluttony in an excessive way without any self-control, the pig is the perfect fabulous creature for it.

Maloe : Because pigs come very close to men.

LaMorgh : You’ve carried out this exhibition together: did you plan it in every single detail or did you only follow your personal ispiration?

Burk : Both. A part we planned together and a part was the personal inspiration of her and me.

Maloe : Most of the time we work individual, we talk all our pictures tru, show our work to eachother and ask how he or she think about it.

LaMorgh : If I talk to you about Gluttony, what do you think by instinct?

Burk : That we should first make clear what we are talking about. Because gluttony is the most misunderstood topic. Everybody has a different idea what the concept gluttony means.

Maloe : Gluttony is for me food, food, food and sex is the second place.

LaMorgh : Among the 7 Deadly Sins if you had been able to choose, which would you most stimulated in the field of photography?

Burk : Lust.

Maloe : I would have chosen Lust , but maybe good Paola did this , mine would be all censored… LOL

LaMorgh : Among the 7 Deadly Sins which is that do you feel to have?

Burk : Absolutely none. I’m perfect and would never sin in any way.

Maloe : well Gluttony is on top, I want lots from everything.

Maloe Vansant’s Biography:

When I entered Sl in 2007, a new world opened for me, because I never played games or joined any social network site, and this Sl featured the best of both worlds, at least for me and I am sure for many others.

After creating little M(aloe), my Barbie doll, my pixelsoul, I discovered the possibility to take snapshots, I started to turn of Maloe’s journey here into a a graphic diary, showing the emotions she experienced in her pixelworld and I think I succeed in this by using some postprocessing in photoshop.

I am not a woman of many words, I try to express myself, my feelings, my passion and probably my dark side through my pictures.

Burk Bode’s Biography:

A former human that got digitized in 2007 and since then lives in the cyberspace. Some say he was a german before he entered the grid, but that can be a rumor and is of no interest where he(?) exists now. Making his living as shapemaker, artist and bohemian.

Artists Statement:

Pablo Picasso said “Everything you can imagine is real.” He is right. Living in a world that is completely created from scratch just by the imagination of its residents you experience this. A place where you can invent yourself new every day and for a creative person a place where you MUST create yourself new every single day.

“RIPRENDIAMOCI” CORSO DI RIPRESA E TRASMISSIONE VIDEO STREAMING

Dal 5 febbraio al 26 marzo 2014, di mercoledì.

E’ al via il quarto corso di ripresa, registrazione in locale con strumenti preferibilmente free ed open source e trasmissione in video streaming, organizzato da Pyramid Café TV.

Scopo del corso, completamente gratuito, è mettere tutti in grado di registrare filmati dall’interno dei mondi virtuali (ma anche da telecamera o da desktop) e trasmettere eventi in diretta attraverso un canale sulla piattaforma livestream.com (o altre alternative) ed interagire con piattaforme di video sharing come YouTube, Vimeo, KoinUp.

Il programma sarà diviso in due parti, la prima di 5 incontri, dal 5 febbraio al 5 marzo, dedicata all’apprendimento delle principali tecniche di registrazione video da desktop e la seconda, dal 12 al 26 marzo, dedicata alla realizzazione di un canale web tv su cui trasmettere in diretta da Second Life (o altri mondi virtuali o applicazioni desktop).

Per ogni incontro verranno fornite dispense con il contenuto della lezione.

Gli incontri si terranno di mercoledì sera, dalle ore 22 alle ore 23 circa, presso la sede di Pyramid Café TV a Solaris Island.

Le iscrizioni sono aperte fino a mercoledì 29 gennaio 2014.

All’atto dell’iscrizione si richiedono le seguenti informazioni: indirizzo e-mail (per contatti e spedizione delle dispense in formato .pdf), sistema operativo, client utilizzato per accedere a Second Life, eventuali precedenti esperienze di registrazione video e streaming.

PRIMA PARTE: REGISTRAZIONE IN LOCALE SU PC

1° incontro – mercoledì 5 febbraio (introduzione)

Basi della registrazione in Second Life; requisiti minimi ed impostazioni del pc, programmi free e a pagamento (Windows, Linux e Osx).

Policy (cosa devi sapere prima di riprendere).

2° incontro – mercoledì 12 febbraio

Prove pratiche di ripresa in diverse situazioni. Tecniche ed accessori utili a migliorare le riprese: uso della camera, interfacce programmi (Second Life [viewer ufficiale ed alternative] o altro), hud, mouse 3D.

3° incontro – mercoledì 19 febbraio

Ho registrato e adesso? Strumenti per editare e montare foto, video ed audio, in locale e online.

4° incontro – mercoledì 26 febbraio

Esercitazione pratica: visita di una ambientazione, pianificazione della ripresa, realizzazione e montaggio.

SECONDA PARTE: TRASMISSIONE VIDEO IN STREAMING

5° incontro – mercoledì 5 marzo

Discorso introduttivo, linee guida, come funziona la trasmissione (broadcasting) sul web, aprire un proprio canale: vediamo assieme come creare un account, aprire un proprio canale su Livestream e impostarlo. Uso della piattaforma da desktop.

6° incontro – mercoledì 12 marzo

Trasmissione, registrazione e salvataggio di eventi. Strumenti di regia offerti dalla piattaforma e gestione del canale (libreria, palinsesto).

7° incontro – mercoledì 19 marzo

Prove pratiche di streaming in gruppi di lavoro.

8° incontro – mercoledì 26 marzo

Uso dell’editor degli ambienti; imparare a modificare le atmosfere, le luci e il clima delle ambientazioni per ottenere riprese sempre più suggestive.

Inoltre verranno fornite informazioni in dispensa su come “embeddare” i video realizzati nei propri blog e siti e diffondere i propri lavori sulle principali piattaforme di video sharing.
