Biografia Fiona Saiman
*****
Qualcosa di me.

Pol Jarvinen's Bio:
Pol Jarvinen was born and lives in Southwestern France between the Pyrenees Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. The movements of nature, particularly the motion of waves and wind and the beating of the human heart inspire his sculptural art. He also draws inspiration from his own dreams and from the poetry of the French surrealists, like Paul Eluard and Rene Char. In first life, Pol is devoted to the ocean , a fact reflected in the movement his pieces convey. In Second Life, he surfs his imagination to create vibrant sculptures.

Pol's early sculpture is characterized by a play of forms and colors, fluid curving and intersecting lines and shapes that invite viewer participation. Over time his work has become more interactive. He plays with prims to make his thoughts and dreams become reality, interweaving a wide spectrum palette of colors and textures to achieve his interior vision. He loves playing with transparency and with unfolding layers of meaning and personal experience. The viewer can move within the artwork, gaining multiple levels of meaning.

Always surprising, often surreal, Pol most recent sculptures use urban and industrial textures, and solid shapes that unexpectedly morph into fluidity. His most recent works engage both intellect and emotion. Some are humorous, tongue in cheek, reflective of a proudly crazy sensibility. Others offer social commentary.

Biography Paola Mills

*****************************

Hello I’m Angela Paola and in pixel version I’m Paola Mills
I signed up to Second life in 2007, after hearing a lot of Linden Lab in the media, I did not like the name Second Life, but its potential as a platform to use, because I am passionate about video games since I was a girl. Reading an article in the American Journal, I realized that Second Life was something else, it is a place used to pleasure doing business, others see it as financial speculation, for other people it’s just a 3D chat. But soon it became a niche for lovers of creativity.
I’m not a professional photographer in RL but I like to take pictures when I see something I like, a person or a situation, which is why I always carry a small camera in my bag. Only Second Life has allowed me to develop without the need for powerful means my emotionalism, take the moment of one feeling into simple shots that stop a moment of my time.
Unlike many artists in the metaverse I work in handicraft way my snapshots using the minimum graphics editing software not by choice but by inability to use them, I brake considerably the result of my photos, I know that I am not an expert photographer maybe if I had more time I could get more satisfactory photos.
I think I’m an end user of Second Life taking advantage of the ability of creators who knows how to give reality to the bodies of the avatars and who knows how to give motion to the avatar with the use of poses. I treat merges these two aspects, study of body language of a human body.
I hope that my photographs can be a stimulus of irony, emotions and feelings, that these photographs go beyond a Simple observation of the photograph itself.

Roman Godde- Beauty In Darkness

"Photography is not about the cameras, gadgets and gismos. Photography is about the photographers".

"A camera doesn't make a great picture anymore than a typewriter makes a great novel"

There is a time in someones life where something traumatic can happen and it can have an adverse affect. It can change your views your world, your thoughts. It can also create something new within you. Good or Bad.
Both my RL parents passed away last year. It was during this time, that I sank into a deep dark world. Where the darkness, the solace, became my comfort. I began to call this place home in my mind. The silent rage within me began tearing, looking for something.. and that is where my art was born.
I began to look for the Beauty in Darkness, to visually create what my inner soul was feeling. My art is not planned ahead of time. I am basically new to photography, but its with my soul and emotions that drive me. This Beauty in Darkness in my healing, my therapy, my calm before and during the storm. This is my journey through something traumatic, that has turned into something beautiful.

I hope you enjoy.

Biography Winter Nightfire
*************
Winter Nightfire is a self-taught painter from San Francisco, California. Her exposure to Abstract Expressionism began at age 16. She displayed her first painting at a group show with her mentors in 2001 at age 24, and has been showing solo at venues across San Francisco ever since.

Inspired by light and the language of texture, Nightfire's signature metallics and the frequent appearance of black and white in her works illustrate her emphasis on contrast to give meaning to various combinations of form and color.

"The painting is the boss," explains Nightfire, "It tells me what it needs to become a story, movement by movement, gesture by gesture. My job as the painter is to listen visually and to give the evolving work what it asks me to provide. These lines, shapes and colors merely represent transcriptions of my conversations with space."

I have been in sl about three years...is not as big experience as it could be....but one day i was listening Andreas Vollenweider's song "Pilgrim"...and to my mind came thought- why should not give the name to my exhibition- Pilgrim? Because all those years...i had different thoughts, feelings, senses, emotions expressions...all was going around and making circles of circumstances in my mind and heart...like a journey of expressions.
I don't have the second life or third life..i am happy to live one life...and i feel very thankful for the opportunity to travel in this virtual place in my free time. This journey means to me much and i appreciate it and i feel really thankful to all my friends and people i have met there..in my travelling...
In rl I was study at Art Academy and for me is pleasure to express myself everywhere....
And i hope you will enjoy my wonderful journey in this virtual world......everyone of us is as Pilgrim in our minds...just we all have different journey but not less wonderful like the others...

-------------------------------------------------------------------
PILGRIM

You set me free
Under my father's tree
Gently lifted all
My shadows

Here where I stand
With only a handful of you
Weighing less than a sparrow
Yet more than my life

First of my days
You sent me off
On to this journey to become
A Pilgrim on the path of love

You will be the mountains I will climb
You will the rivers I will cross
I will be the voice to tell your tale

You will be the beggar I will feed
You will be the dragon I will calm
And I will be the voice to tell your tale
And I shall not be sad...

In the garden of hope
Far from songs of pride and victory
You kept a place
For the simple melodies

Broken, the wings
Shattered, the dreams
And still you're walking strong
You've always been
The Pilgrim on the path of love

You will be the desert I will cross
You will be the storm that I will ride
I will be the voice ot tell your tale

You will be the rivers I will cross
You will be the mountains I will climb
I will be the voice to tell your tale

You will be the words that I will find
You will be the strength to still be kind
And I shall not be sad....

**Biography**

Hello art lover, I have always been a creative person, which shows up time to time. Now I have found suitable contacts here in Second Life and they have given me a wonderful opportunity to bring my art here.
Colors and contrasts are important to me and my style is mainly abstract expressionism.
I use various techniques; oil painting, glass painting (glass art in general), ceramics, aquarelles, photographing etc.
My personality is positive and I am unprejudiced. I believe people´s motives are primarily good. I want to be friendly to everyone. People say that I am a good listener and many have told me that I have given strength to them.I am spiritually sensitive and I sense situational energies strongly. I am a gentle, peaceful and modest person. I see into people -- maybe more than they think there is to see.
My role is usually to be an observer. I enjoy life and I don´t hurry. I tend to live in the moment and I think only necessary things about tomorrow. I have problems to say "no" to people´s requests, but I am trying to learn that ability. I don´t want to hurt anyone´s feelings. I am somewhat unyielding and it manifests as occasional oddities in my behavior -- some people think my sense of humor is twisted, but I think it is just extremely versatile. Making art is an exhaust vent for my emotions.
I hope my art induces different kinds of moods to the viewers.
Yours sincerely,
Uleria Caramel
